The series of compact soft starters represents a valid and economical alternative to traditional contactors, which can also replace star / delta combinations. The ramp time, the starting torque and the kick start are adjusted by the controls on the front of the unit.

Integrated bypass
Once the engine is started, the MCD 201 and the MCD 202 automatically connect the engine to the mains supply via the integrated bypass relay. This minimizes losses during full load operation.
